Sunday, December 22nd, 2024 (6th Reiwa).

With only a few days left in the year, Nagoya is now feeling like winter, as it is enveloped in a cold wave. Incidentally, the minimum temperature dropped below 0 degrees for the first time this season the other day. A stray cat in the neighborhood has also started taking its usual naps on the dead grass in my garden.

Last month when I went to Osaka, I got off at the new station of the Kita-Osaka Kyuko (Minoh-Kayano Station). Or rather, it might be more accurate to say that I went to see the new terminal station (the next station after Senri-Chuo Station is Minohsemba-handaimae Station), which was extended northward.
Now, I am about to finish crossing the ocean of life. Of course, it has not been smooth sailing, and I have not been able to live the way I wanted. I did not have any great abilities, but I chanted the daimoku and made an effort. The Gosho says, "A blue fly, if it clings to the tail of a thoroughbred horse, can travel ten thousand miles, and the green ivy that twines around the tall pine can grow to a thousand feet." (On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land) That is exactly me.
